Splish, Splash

Soooooooo I finally caved and am now taking swimming lessons.  I'm sick of being known as the sailor who can't swim.  Honestly people, haven't you heard of the tradition where sailors aren't supposed to know how to swim!!  I'm so tired.  Just got back from the pool at killarney.  The slide isn't that fun...thx for coming with me maggie!!   ...I'm almost done my basic beginner lessons, I guess I should continue...

Boxing Day SUCKS!!!!!

Hm...it's been about almost 2 months since I've updated.  I guess I should change the background or someeeeething... gaaaah I'm so tired nowadays.  I'm not complaining about school; now it's old people and when they're nice and stingy near Christmas time!  Seriously, yes there are certain sales going on, but DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON THE SALES PEOPLE who can't control the signs and what they say!  We don't have that much authority to give discounts! GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!  I just want to rant!  Especially Old MEN who want to hit me because I'm "in your fricking way?"  Ever heard of waiting! Don't be such an ass!!!!!!! Uggggggggh, go stay home and sulk, don't leave your little place because no one wants to deal with you!! YOU SUCK!!!  Gar, I'm so tired I fell asleep on the cold floor for a few hours...so uncomfortable...or it should have been.  *sigh* I wish I could snub customers   Oh well, at least some of them are cool!  Unlike angry box guy.  You really suck, you were my very first meanie!!  Making me run around for boxes with your empty threats!!  But then there are people like the really cool lady who wanted the dress on the mannequin between the escalators that we still haven't gotten to! You're awwwwwwesome!

November: A Month of Remembrance

The Eleventh Minute of the Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Month

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Ever since I chose this poem to analyze for English in grade 9, Remembrance Day has always meant so much more to me.  I really hope the future generations do not forget the sacrifices the veterans made for our freedom.  It's not just a socials lesson.  It happened, respect them.  GO DONATE and wear a poppy.  Attend the Remembrance Day Parade; it'll be wet and cold, but I'll be there sans wisdom teeth, and so should you- go show your support and appreciation.

 Lest We Forget.

Finally back after six weeks.  It seemed so long in the beginning, and now that it's over... I still remember that first week so clearly like it was yesterday. (so cliche eh?)  Wow, can't believe summer's going to be over soon! Definitely missed sleep more at camp than the long school year.  Hehe, slept from like 4pm to 1am when I got back, ate food, went back to sleep til like 8am?  Sleep is niiice.
